Ok, this is just a teaser of the full written review on GPS to come, but since that piece will be delayed until tomorrow now I thought this might help tide you over:

Awesome reviews on the Note. The best and most detailed reviews that I can find anywhere on the net. Samsung should be paying people like you to make detailed independent reviews of all their handsets since you are single handedly (probably) generating more interest in their devices by such detailed reviews that samsung should get rid of most of their marketing dept and instead hire you to do the needful! The least they could do is to gift you free handsets of all future handsets that they release in order that you can make independent reviews of them.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the great reviews and have a nice day.
Thanks Vinay! I heartily agree that Samsung (actually all manufacturers for that matter) should send me free handsets. You got that Samsung??? ;p
ReplyDeleteMe again. Since you are probably still prepping your review of the Spen feature of the Note, the following videos might interest you if you havent already seen them. Hopefully your review of the Spen might dispel some misinformation about the Note having a capacitative pen when instead it has a wacom digitiser on it. see links http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2fzC3JVSUs and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKeb3j2K4WM
ReplyDeleteCheers dude, it's stuff like this and astute questions from the readership that keep us on our toes here! Will check both of those out, S-pen is next up once I (finally) finish the GPS section (currently editing it in another tab).
ReplyDeleteOy - HOW/where?? Your informative (or is it?) Galaxy Note review. I have just acquired a Note (& I use GPS at times). I look for a display like the one on the right of your review screen (coloured, showing satellite locations, strengths etc - in short normal GPS display) Can I find it? No! Is it an "app" - if so where from, please?
ReplyDeleteI do not want the heavy usage of Googlemaps everywhere (especially abroad) & I usually have & use paper maps (fluently). All I need is my GPS location - which your review seems to show as a basic function of the Note? And I ain't getting it...

You need the free app called GPS Test from the Play Store.
