[At Your Own Risk] Video guide for NEW recommended Root method for the Galaxy Note

Hi everyone, quick heads-up that there is now a superior Root method available for the Galaxy Note - one that doesn't increase the binary flash counter, meaning you can return your Note to stock for warranty purposes. I will re-jig the Root guide tomorrow to cover this new method in detail, but for now I have put together this video guide to the process. This method is courtesy of the Zergrush exploit and the inimicable Chainfire, please consider donating to this great developer to keep his efforts alive!

  1. Thanks for this, and I've got to say how much I enjoy your comprehensive & unbiased reviews.

Got my Note a couple of days ago, I'm now totally used to the size of it (can even use it one-handed in a really awkward-looking way!) and I can't imagine ever buying a phone with a smaller screen again.

    Thanks again!

  2. Hello,

Week ago I was watching the "Video guide for NEW recommended Root method for the Galaxy Note". I've rooted couple of days ago successfully through following your guide using InitialCFRootFlasher.zip and CF-Root-SGN_XX_ODD_KL3-v5.0-CWM5.tar.

I'm suspecting poor performance of battery life. So thinking to visit service center. I've reset to factory default. But two applications are there, CWM and Superuser. How can I remove them? Is that okay to flash stock ROM with PC Odin? Do you have any video on unroot of the GN?

Second query: My GN lasts only around 7H if I continuously watch the default movie clip [lightness &slimness] in a loop. I did it for comparison. Do you think my GN is performing (for battery life) as it should be?

    Thanks.
