what were the USB audio dad's and headset amps used? thanks....bob
ReplyDeleteThe first DAC was the FiiO E7. The second was the HeadAmp Pico USB DAC/amp, but that only works with the US S3. Getting a couple more in the next couple of weeks and will confirm they work and then post here in reply to you.
DeleteI own a HeadAmp Pico USB DAC/amp and it works with my Galaxy Note 2 with a USB hub between the phone and the DAC. This drain the battery from the phone so it will be great find a way to plug it straight to the Pico. I'm sure that is something with the drivers of the Note 2.
DeleteHi Fernando!
DeleteJustin at HeadAmp has actually solved the problem of connecting the Pico to the Int S3/Note 2, contact him in relation to the fix. He informs me that if you're handy with soldering you should be able to do it yourself. I sent mine to him to have the fix applied since I have zero soldering experience and can confirm it works perfectly with my Note 2 now and also the Int S3.
I just email Justin. Lets check the complexity of the job and maybe I could do it. Thanks for the advice.
DeleteAwesome work! Thanks for doing this, its fantastic to see what this phone can do!.....bob
ReplyDeleteDoes all of this need a rooted note 2?
ReplyDeleteNo, the video is quite clear about the two things that were shown that require Root.
DeleteGreat job dude!
DeleteMy English sucks, so I couldn't identify the tasks that requires root. Could you write here (read is easiest for me), please?
P.S.: No need to explain, of course.
is it possible to connect the note 2 with a printer and scanner? i got one of the canon Mp series combination printers. i would like to scan documents and put them together in pdf file.
ReplyDeletebesides, thats a great instruction video. thanks
Toby
Is that a them or wallpaper? Where can I get it?Thank you
ReplyDeleteHow about hooking it up to the TV and using usb keyboard and mouse and charging it all at the same time? Is this possible with the cables and hub you posted? I'd like to do this because it would mean essentially turning my note into a desktop computer! Also, I wouldn't have to spend money on a bluetooth keyboard/mouse
ReplyDeleteThe hard disk is not connecting on my phone. It says it's unsupported. What do I do?
ReplyDeleteReally looking foward for the review. Almost buying one!
ReplyDeleteExcellent work!
ReplyDeleteI got 2 questions;
1. If I understand things correctly the note II has native support for the ps3 controller if connected with usb cable and shouldn't need a third party app or root?
2. Would it work to connect a
MHL-adapter to the note II and run the micro usb from the MHL to a powered USB-hub (for power supply) and connect a hdd and ps3 controller to the USB-hubb as well?
I would do this to work around rooting:P
Cheers!
Great video -- I have aquestion about the external monitor/HDTV. Could the Galaxy Note 2 be connected to an external monitor or HDTV that supports multitouch interactions? Would the external monitor or HDTV be able to feedback these external inputs to the Galaxy Note 2 so that they could recognize it?
ReplyDelete... the other question is you showed wireless controllers. Can a wireless XBOX 360 controller work w/ the Galaxy Note 2?
Cheers!
Where did you get N64oid from? I can't find it anywhere.
ReplyDeleteCoolroms
Deletehi, please rply my question!! how come your note 2 can connect to the external hard drive @ 1:04?? ive tried to connect all types of external hard drive, but there was no detection!
ReplyDeleteis your note 2 rooted?? i really want to know why my note 2 cannot detect my hard disk!
-im using only 160GB external hard disk 2.0
tq!

ReplyDeleteon my I605 Note 2 on Verizon. 3100mh batt. I think is the same for all.
thanks for taking the time. great video and great info.
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking the time to post these demos. I thought I'd share a tip after I had problems getting a USB thumb drive to mount on my Note 2. Using an OTG adapter and a FAT32 thumb drive connected, I'd connect the adapter to the phone and only get the first notification, "USB Connector connected", with no mount (though an Android directory was created on the drive strangely). It spent ages looking for a reason why, then the next day tried connecting the adapter to the phone first, then attaching the USB thumb drive. This approach worked.
ReplyDeleteStrange, but a solution nonetheless.
Do you know how to make USB ethernet work in Samsung Note 2? Thanks
ReplyDeleteHow does it work with the rotation of the sreen ? Is it always full screen (Youtube description)?
ReplyDeleteWhere did you get wallpaper?
ReplyDeletehow can I get that wallpaper?
ReplyDeleteConnected WD My Passport 2TB.Used Nexus Media Importer.worked like a charm.
ReplyDeletePlease sorry but I don't speak English very well.

ReplyDeletecan you use it as a monitor on security cameras at the camera that has a BNC connector, no power needed as the camera has its own power supply, and also as a monitor on a secuity DVR, trying to use this as a tool on the job, company supplied phone, thanks
